What do you do at CXP?
I cry alot. The other actors are mean to me. We spend a lot of time sharing our deepest feelings and generally trying not to be funny.

What is your favorite Des Moines activity?
Sitting in Centro Bar with a martini, making fun of the dorks who scoop the loop and pretending I'm cooler than I am.

What is your favorite place in Des Moines?
Oh, that's easy. I-235 during road construction season.

What is your most memorable moment at CXP?
Discovering the dock to nowhere.

Who are your influences as a performer?
People you wouldn't know. They're real people in my life, not celebrities. Katie Harvey, Catherine Taylor Williams, Tina Packer, Paula Langton

Are you married? Do you have kids?
No and No. I hate weddings and I can't even keep Bamboo alive.

Why do you like improv?
I don't really. I was kidnapped by CXP and forced to play improv games. It was horrible. (In all seriousness, though. I like improv because it's unpredictable and forces true and organic responses from people, not manufactured overrehearsed emotion.)

The Peeps! (Human not marshmallow.)

What advice can you offer to improv students?
Listen, Learn, Breathe and DON'T THINK...JUST DO.

What are your hobbies and interests?
I read, study and teach Shakespeare. I choreograph and teach stage combat. I write short fiction that I don't let anyone read and I have an unhealthy addiction to television.

The voices in my head...

What is your favorite movie?
GHETTO VAMPIRE! My film debut.

How did you get started in improv?
In high school, everything sounds like a good idea at the time. I was young and naive. Now I'm addicted.
