Who is your favorite comedian?
George W. Bush

Who is your favorite actor?
Depends on the day, right now it’s me, I draw a lot of inspiration from myself. Really I am in love with great character actors, Meryl Streep, Emma Thompson, Tim Roth and Johnny Depp. Tom Hanks you loveable guy you did not make my list…that’s right, suck it!

What is your favorite CXP game?
Lights out---it’s a sweet game that they made me play when I first started where they blindfolded me and made me spin on a sit n’ spin until they beat me with baseball bat called me dirty. Actually all of the long form structures we have been playing with, it’s an exciting challenge as a performer.

Where were you born?
In my mommy’s tummy in Dubuque, IA….Thank god my dad didn’t go on to be a priest (true story ask me after a show sometime).

What do you do at CXP?
I’d like to think just sit and look pretty, but mainly I just sit and look homely…sigh.

What is your favorite Des Moines activity?
Watching people, and sleeping on my cushy couches at home.

What is your favorite place in Des Moines?
Definitely the skywalks in Des Moines, there are a lot of interesting characters and dialogue that happens there. My daily walks never cease to entertain me.

Who is your favorite Des Moines personality?
The Bacon King, the Bacon King...la, la, la...The Bacon King!

What is your most memorable moment at CXP?
The January 2006 comedy sportz show with Jeff and me on a team competing against Dave and Diane, that night was my break out night when I threw caution to the wind and went for it. It was exhilarating.

Who are your influences as a performer?
I pull inspiration from people who aren’t afraid to take big risks while performing, whether they are well known actors, local talent, or people in the troupe.

Are you married? Do you have kids?
Legally no, still waiting for that question to be popped…ahem….we all know who I am talking to. As far as kids, I liken myself to Jesus in that you are all my children. I liken myself to Jesus in a lot of ways we both look pretty good in sandals……not really my feet are huge…HUGE!

CORRECTION!
Effective December 22nd 2006 this answer is null and void! The question was asked and I did in fact say yes. Well really I cried a lot and nodded my head.

Why do you like improv?
Because it scares the sh*t out of me.

Why do you like CXP?
Between you and me, I don’t really, I’m just in it for the crab cakes and the strawberry smoothies.

What advice can you offer to improv students?
Hold your breath and dive in head first.

What are your hobbies and interests?
I keep busy with most aspects of theatre, I’m a self proclaimed video gamer, but I stay true to Nintendo, and I’m also very passionate about my family and all my nieces and nephews.

Who would you most like to meet?
Myself in 20 years, to see what paths I’ve taken or possibly should have.

What is your favorite movie?
Nightmare before Christmas

How did you get started in improv?
I busted my knee playing basketball. And my older brother was auditioning for the Mime and Comedy troupe at my High school, so I decided to give it a whirl.

Anything else you'd like to share?
Everyone needs to take a risk in their life. When you come to a fork in the road take the road that scares you the most, don’t play safe, it’s boring.
